Snowy and Sparky the guinea pigs are settling in well.

We've just cleaned their cage out, and they seemed happy whilst we had them out.

Mind you, they were happier to be back in the cage and ate the apple they were given.

 

I've added a couple of pictures of them. 

Its official, there are two new members of our family!

My daughter now has two guinea pigs, one called Snowy and one called Sparky.

They are just settling in so I'm avoiding scaring them with flash photopgraphy, but tomorrow I'll take some pictures and post them here.

I had another business trip to Switzerland this week, the trip went well and I had a really good time.
But, the usual thing happened, whilst I was away my daughter got ill!! It seems to happen that everytime I go away on business she gets ill or hurts herself, at least this time it was nothing too serious.

She has chicken pox, so its not too bad just a few days of not going out. Mind you I reckon after a few days we'll all be going stir crazy.

 

One good thing has come out of it, we've had an urban myth dispelled. Our doctor has assurred us people cannot catch shingles from a child with chicken pox.

 

And to finish it all off, the front room is cold as the radiator is not heating up! We have an engineer booked for Tuesday to have a look.

 

So that was my welcome home!!

I had to go to Switzerland on business this week, and even though it was only three nights away I really missed my family.

Its odd, and I know I should miss my family (and always do I hasten to add) but this time it just seemed worse.

It was really good to get a nice big hug and kiss from my daughter, and even better to see my wife again.

Maybe I'm just getting even more sentimental in my old age!

 

Having been all sentimental I should add that it was a very good trip and the course/workshop I attended was excellent.

As always the Swiss train network was suitably efficient, mind you British Airways were not too bad this trip. My flight out was on time and the one back was only a little bit late landing, my bag even came out quickly both times.

 

So its back in the office tomorrow and straight into running a training course, talk about un-prepared!!

So after a year of various hospital treatments my mum had the chance for few months break from hospitals. So what does she do, she slips and breaks her wrist!

Now she faces more trips to the hospital and more treatment, life is just fair sometimes.

To top it off for my parents my dad has a bad back now as well, and is in a fair bit of discomfort.

 

On the plus side, its been a good start to my work year, and things seem to be going well. Various projects and tests have gone well, and overall its been an enyoable start to the year.

Work has started on getting our training room sorted and this should make life easier for me and my colleagues.
